After a M.Sc. degree studying the impacts of thermal stratification on GHG emissions from a natural lake, Sara started to work in 2015 in Yves Prairie research laboratory at University of Québec at Montréal (UQAM). As a research associate, her main work is for the G-res Tool project, but she also assists the graduate student’s projects in the lab and on the field. She has field experience in multiple aquatic ecosystems such as La Romaine hydropower reservoirs in Quebec, Batang Ai hydropower reservoir in Malaysia and natural lakes and rivers in Quebec.

As part of the G-res Tool team, Sara was directly involved in the development of the modelling framework behind the G-res Tool, the design of the online interface and the construction of a database predicting GHG emissions for over 4000 reservoirs worldwide. She is also the creator of the Certified G-res Tool Training and the current Lead Trainer.
